Lisbon- William W. “Bill” Bookman, 75, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, February 13, 2026 at his home.

Bill was born on May 4, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Robert and Mary Catherine (Hamnett) Bookman and had moved to the Lisbon area in 1995 coming from Akron.

He had worked for the Ohio State Division of Water for 30 years, retiring in 1997.

He was a life member of the Columbiana County Archers Association, life member of the Leetonia Sportsman’s Club; Life member Copley American Legion, and member of the CCCC.  Bill enjoyed tinkering with small engines and was an avid woodworker. He also enjoyed reading and watching TV.

Bill also proudly served our country during the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Army and continued serving as a member of the Ohio National Guard, until he retired.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Sandra L. (Ingledue) Bookman, whom he married June 18, 1977, and by his three children, Tamara Bookman, Nick Bookman, and Brenda Bookman.

In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by his sister, Judith Kay Bookman.

Private family visitation was held at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
